Our Story

As someone who has always been passionate about rice, I’ve grown up with rice as an essential part of every meal. Living in a country like India, one of the world’s leading rice producers, I always believed that everyone should have access to the best quality rice our land has to offer. Yet, I realized that despite India’s abundance of rice, so many households still lacked access to truly nutritious and high-quality rice. This was something that deeply bothered me. 

I founded Barkat with a simple mission: to ensure that every family can enjoy the finest rice – rice that is fragrant, full of flavor, and brings warmth to every meal. My love for rice, born from daily meals and traditions, is now a passion that drives my work every day. 

What began as a personal journey soon became a family vision. My children, who share the same dedication and love for rice, have joined me in this endeavor. Together, we take steps every day toward our dream of bringing premium, authentic rice into every household across India.
